ERIC LEE BEDDINGFIELD EARNED MUSIC ROW'S INDEPENDENT BREAKOUT ARTIST OF THE YEAR!  Thanks to hit singles, "The Gospel According to Jones," sung with the Possum himself, and "The Great Depression."  These titles achieved 47,087 spins on Music Row's Country Breakout Chart, making him the most played independent artist of the year.  "I'm so honored to be MusicRow's Independent Artist of the Year," said Beddingfield.  "I've made some great friends at Country Radio across the nation.  Their support and willingness to brand my music to their listeners is crucial to my career."  Beddingfield came to music in a twist of fate, after suffering a sidelining football injury at Georgia Southern University.  He picked up a guitar and began songwriting, leading him to perform for years as an unsigned artist on the road.  In 2007, Beddingfield released his self-titled debut album (Double diamond) and follows it up three years later with "This Life Ain't for Everybody" (Rebel Dawg).  Country radio has mebraced the music, which boasts writing credits from Dolly Parton, George Jones, Warren Haynes and Ricky Medlock.  Beddingfield gives credit for the award to those around him, saying, "I have a great team of hard working, talented people behind me.  We are all very proud of this award!"  by Eric Parker
